1. TITLE: "DESIGN REPLACES ART"
 
 
PROBLEM ADDRESSED:
"The majority of feature animation companies are creating character look and feel based on artistic interpretation of a movie script, not based on sales figures and metrics."
 
 
DESCRIPTION:
A cloud based software that procedurally generates character facial and body proportions based on previous years of release, sales data, and IP popularity. Hence, if Peter Jackson wanted to make a character for a feature, and was curious as to what a popular character based on Target and Wal-Mart sales data was for 8 year old boys in 2005, he would type those parameters into the software and a 3D CGI layout would generate showing the proportions of that requested type. That image could then be printed off, and a character designer could use that sheet of paper as a “trace paper” underlay to base the design off of the new Peter Jackson character. This will be set up so if the request to an art department at a major studio by Jackson is "Show me male hero character's arms of the top grossing title in 2001 with the male hero character's legs of the top grossing character of 2004", an image would be generated showing a character that Jackson could see with the arms of Shrek from the movie, "Shrek" (2001), with the legs of Doc Ock from the movie "Spider-Man 2" (2004). Now there is a science to designing Jackson characters that is based off of sales metrics as opposed to randomization. Character art then becomes character design with research, design intent, and sales data, that creates visuals to assist in conceptualization of characters within seconds.

2. TITLE: "FILM GAME CONVERGENCE”
 
 
PROBLEM ADDRESSED:
"Animation companies not using the same mesh of the same character in multiple divisions thereby constructing separate animation set up pipelines as opposed to using one converged pipeline saving money.”
 
 
DESCRIPTION:
This is a software that automates the character rigging process of the same character in a feature animation production, a visual effects production, and a video game production, with one common joint based naming convention where the divisions’ three separate characters could use the same animation data on all three divisions saving money. In theory, for example, the Spider-Man mesh used in Insomniac Games' “Spider-Man” game, that could be modified to work in Sony Pictures Imageworks’ “Spider-Man Homecoming”, as well as Sony Pictures Animation “Spider-Man into the Spider Verse”, would have the same underlying technical construction that would be created with this software. With that same underlying technical construction, a core Sony animation group could develop motions for the setup as well as use existing motions. This construction would be completed either through an installable software or the models could be loaded into the cloud and automated. This would cut technical labor of Sony by two thirds.

"Lack of IP for next gen consoles using strong female characters that could be enjoyed equally by men and women. This would also use RIGR/ BZP PRO engineering setups to keep costs to a minimum.”

Title initially plays like "HALO" third person shooter then eventually moves to an "Assasin's Creed" or "Lord of the Rings: Shadow of War" style of combat.

Alice is a little girl from Asia, and her and her sister’s family are tied to the Asian mob. Alice’s mother, Yukiri Chen, is diagnosed with a bone cancer while living in Hong Kong. Her husband, Alice’s father, Dr. Tomasso Chen, a medical engineer, injects experimental nano micro biotic robots that fight cancer cells into her blood system. The robots do not work according to plan and cause a cyborg type allergic reaction in her body, causing Yukiri to not act human. Yukiri, presumed to be deceased, leaves Hong Kong and travels to Columbus, Ohio, discovering the hole to Wonderland, previous to the traditional Alice in Wonderland story. Due to her robotic strength, she murders the Queen of Hearts, pre traditional “Alice” story, and assumes the role as the new Queen of Hearts….. with Alice not knowing. Alice was sent to live with a foster family in New England in modern times, with her sister Christina being sent just outside of Columbus, Ohio (eventually with Alice moving to Columbus). The traditional “Alice in Wonderland” story takes place, Alice escapes. Due to the body armor and mental deterioration, The Queen of Hearts is unrecognizable to Alice. In order to secure her life so the cancer does not take over her body, the heads of the other three klans in Wonderland (Diamond, Spade, Club) dismember Yukiri, the new Queen of Hearts, limbs due to them being intimidated by her, with her controlling the most powerful army, and donate a single limb (1 arm, 2 legs, and second arm as a weapon) to Yukiri making her more of a fighting Queen (looking similar to a General Grievous from Star Wars).

The Klans:

1. The Diamonds are selfish, greedy, and wealthy among the four klans, tall and lanky, typically bankers in Wonderland, paying the Spades at a minimum to maintain the Hearts mechanical army which they also fund.
   
2. The Spades are lower in society, withering, spreading rumors, and trying to use wit and charm to plant thoughts in the Queen of Hearts, similar to a Grima Wormtongue in The Lord of the Rings, hunchbacked and cowardly; willing to do anything for money, and typically trying to convince the Queen to give them a leg up over the Diamonds.
   
3. The Clubs are pure brutes, large, strong and fierce, with a build similar to a cave troll in Lord of the Rings: unrelenting, unintelligent, and unapologetic, and easily able to be fooled. The Spades try to manipulate the Clubs to give them a boost in society over the Diamonds and Hearts, but the Clubs often become tiresome of their antics and eat them.
   
4. The Hearts are mindless and mechanical, serving the Queen who is part droid due to the cancer treatment. Each of the Queen’s limbs has spikes protruding out of it that she “stabs” victims body parts to to wear as ornamentation. The only way to weaken and kill the Queen, is to remove the spines from each of the heads of the three other Wonderland klans (Diamond, Spade, and Club), and stab the respective artificial limbs killing her off.

 

Main story:

At the age of 14, Alice’s sister Christina is kidnapped, tortured, and murdered by her former nemesis, the Queen of Hearts, Christina and Alice’s mother. The white rabbit appears in Columbus, Ohio, to tell Alice. Alice, helpless, leaves Columbus vowing revenge and returns to the Asian mob in China, strengthening mob ties, ninjutsu, weaponry, poisoning techniques, and advanced laser guided armor piercing techniques. She trains in Kung Fu for a period of 10 years becoming a master. Alice returns to Columbus, Ohio, to go to the “Wonderland” hole, meet the white rabbit, and infiltrate the Queen’s palace... In a Ripley from “Aliens” meets Oren-Ishi from “Kill Bill Vol 1” similar storyline, only to find that the white rabbit has been executed for treason, who was previously going to show her the way through Wonderland. Previous to the execution, while being tortured, the white rabbit told the Queen that Alice was coming back with modernized warfare to wipe the palace out. The Queen sent out a beacon to different plants and creatures throughout wonderland to emit a toxin in the air that can kill a human. As apart of gameplay, Alice must search each level of the game for a timed antidote for the following level that will enable her to proceed through the game. Alice must go into Wonderland and must kill the head of each family (Spade, Club, Diamond) and use their spines to stab the Queen of Hearts limbs, thereby rendering her helpless and being able to kill her. Ultimately, she tricks the Queen of Hearts to entering a portal for the main boss fight in the end, and the Queen is brought to the underworld of Hong Kong. The final boss fight takes place in Alice’s Chinese family’s dojo with the mob family patiently sitting, expecting Alice to kill the Queen in front of the mob avenging Christina. During the game while exploring each level, Alice must fight off the four families' minions in order to get to each family boss to kill, ultimately leading to the Queen of Hearts at the end.

As apart of gameplay level design, the first level in wonderland is toxin free, but Alice must search for the antidote for the following level as each board passes, killing enemies and bosses along the way. As Alice progresses in the game, the toxins make her weaponry less effective, ultimately relying on the martial arts and hand to sword and flame tactics that she learned while in China. Each level is timed due to the air toxin antidote expiring and as the game progresses she must rely more on stealth to kill as opposed to distance firing. The game play mechanics begin like "Halo", but eventually the combat system is more "Assassin’s Creed."

"Answering 'Ever wonder what is your favorite celebrites' music library', and creating a World of Warcraft experience to find out."
 
 
DESCRIPTION:
This is an exploratory video game that is cloud based that will import your iTunes library onto a server. In the video game, each person has their own planet. The engineering technology will procedurally populate the user's entire planet with digital architecture as well as digital environments, etc. The design creation of the architecture for the planet is dependent on the artist whose music is being input as well as the music genre in iTunes. Each individual's planet will have mini games on them, as well as procedurally generated inhabitants that are based off of the music for people to interact with. The creation of the geometry should happen instantly. As you are exploring each other’s planet, because users can travel between planets, as you are approaching a digital building, the artist's song will mildly play in the background, and identify that piece of digital building, environment, to the artist and song.
 
 
MONETIZATION:
Video game explorers of individual planets will be able to in store purchase pieces of geometry as well as the artist song while navigating through the planet. As you approach a building, and say “Master of Puppets” by Metallica is playing in the background, a GUI will pop up allowing the user to use a stored credit card to buy that geometry and download that song. The Social Symphony LLC would get paid, as would Metallica. In addition, if James Hetfield were a Social Symphony user and had his own planet that was procedurally generated through his iTunes library, the user fan would be able to rent an hour of exploration time on Hetfield's planet to explore his procedurally generated geometry. Hetfield would be paid for the hour rental time as would the Social Symphony LLC. This would answer a fan of Metallica's question, “what is on James Hetfield's iTunes library.”

5. TITLE: "NUMBING A MILITARY SOLDIER'S SENSES"
 
 
PROBLEM ADDRESSED:
"Hardening military personel's senses that might hesitate to eliminate a terrorist that could look photogenic/ underage/ or innocent when guilty."
 
 
DESCRIPTION:
With terrorism on the rise in Syria as well as the Middle East, it is possible that ISIS and groups similar will be recruiting underage children to execute terrorist activities that could put United States military soldiers or our allies at risk. A soldier, although well trained, could potentially hesitate to pull the trigger on an underage boy or girl that is carrying an explosive device or weapon. Through Virtual Reality Training, digital rigged models of underage characters with motion capture animation on them will approach the player/ soldier within the virtual environment, and the soldier will practice pulling a digital trigger which will kill the digital ISIS child. This will further train soldiers to numb their emotions when working in the Middle East should this situation arise. With the proper funding, a real time computer graphics physics skeleton will be developed that will have multiple “collapse” pressure points on the limbs. These pressure points, once targeted with the soldier’s VR rifle, will force the digital ISIS child to fall to the ground in a realistic way once shot. The different pressure points on the skeleton, similar to EUPHORIA used on “Star Wars The Force Unleashed”, will give the character a computer generated rag doll effect. If a soldier shoots an ISIS child in the leg, they will collapse different in the game engine than if he were to shoot the child in the chest or head. This type of virtual training will enable the soldier to “take down” an underage enemy ISIS fighter without necessarily going for a “kill shot” by targeting enemy fighters in a realistic way.

What are the semantic attributes of geological and industrial environments incorporated into character design. What are the biological attributes designed into characters. For example, for a digital environment based in a swamp setting, what is the checklist of biological attributes to be incorporated into a character: gills, webbed feet, etc. These anatomical attributes would go on a checklist:

 


- how does the character breath?
- how does it move?
- how does it hunt?
- how does it defend itself?
- how does the character deform with proper biomechanics?

 

Etc. this process could be incorporated into a visual effects workplace

 
Advertising and brand on avatars incorporated into Xbox, PS4 and Facebook. After taking a digital image of oneself and getting it to export with animation on an Xbox One, Playstation 4, Oculus VR, Microsoft Hololens, or Facebook browser, what are the different approaches to monetization on a typical free ware model. How is advertising and shopping behavior incorporated into avatars and virtual reality. Simply put, is it possible that with your avatar, you could contact Banana Republic or Hugo Boss and outfit your digital self playable in either the basic console operating system or in game in a Call of Duty?

  What are the numerical values of music that can be applied to create a language for procedurally generating digital architecture. The visuals would bake out into architectural pieces and placed throughout a digital canvas. Ideally, this would enable a digital designer to import their entire iTunes library into this software and a virtual planet as seen in a "World of Warcraft" could be generated in seconds as opposed to a three year cycle.
